(Hello in Portuguese!)

What do you know about Portugal? which I knew was Portugal nasional football team, where Christiano Ronaldo play :)

Where is Portugal?
Portugal is the westernmost country of Europe and its bordered by the Atlantic ocean to the west and south and by Spain to the north and east.

The country is named after its second largest city, Porto, whose Latin name was Portus Cale.

In the 15th and 16th centuries, as the result of pioneering the age of discovery, Portugal expanded western influence and established a global empire that included possessions in Africa, Asia, Oceania and South America, becoming the world's major economic, political and military global power.

Lisboa or Lisbon is the capital city and largest city of Portugal. Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, predating other modern European capitals such as London, Paris and Rome by hundreds of years.

You can explore World Heritage architectural marvels, the Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower, with their intricate carvings showcasing all the glory and excitement of the age, and discover the treasures from the east to the west inside the world-class design museum and the fantastic Berardo collection of the contemporary art. In Berardo museum, a Portuguese millionaire has put together one of Europe's greatest modern art collections which includes works by Picasso.

Belem Tower and the Jeronimos Monastery is an UNESCO WHC because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of discoveries. the tower is part of defense system at the mouth of the Tagus river and a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.

Lisboa is a beautiful city, I wish I can go there someday :)

Tenha um bom dia!
(Have a nice day in Portuguese!)
